Itinerary Detail
Day 1 Arrive Mumbai On arrival in Mumbai you will be met & transfer to hotel. Arrive & check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 Mumbai [B] Today after breakfast you will come with us to explore the Mumbai, you will visit Gateway of India - The stone archway designed by Wittett in the 16th century Gujrat style. Elephanta Caves – 9kms by sea. These 7th century rock – cut temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 Mumbai > Trivandrum (By Flight) > Kovalam (20 Kms / 30 Mins) [B] 9W 336 Mumbai (10:40) / Trivandrum (12:40) After breakfast, transfer to Airport for flight to Trivandrum. On arrival in Trivandrum transfer to hotel in Kovalam. Later enjoy the day in the sand. At your choice from any of the centers nearby, you can pamper yourself with herbal, body- toning massage. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 Kovalam (71 Kms / 02 Hrs) [B] The day is for the Relaxation therapy at the hotel.
Day 5 Kovalam [B] This day you will have the unique experience of spending time with the elephants. Ride on their backs, see them bathing, feed them. Later relax on the beach. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 Kovalam > Kumarakom (176 Kms / 05 Hrs) [B] Today after breakfast drive to Kumarakom – the backwater country – by speed boat or a luxury cruiser from Varkala and then make yourself at home in its small-town hush. Overnight at house boat.
Day 7 Kumarakom [B] Get Set for the moments that will approach you today with a boat ride into the countryside, you will visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. If you are adventurous enough, you can indulge in water sports such as windsailing & water skiing. You can even take a canoe out into the quiet lakes. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8 Kumarakom > Thekkady (140 Kms / 04 Hrs) [B] After breakfast drive to Thekkady. Getting to Periyar is as sublime as the destination itself. A scenic journey past mist capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with spectacular water falls and delightful trekking trails form the access to your hideway here. On arrival check-in hotel, refresh yourself & be relaxed. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 Thekkady [B] Today after breakfast, visit Periyar wildlife sanctuary - home of wild elephant, boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and many more species of animals. A boat safari on the Periyar Lake extends a lifetime’s chance to spot exotic wildlife in its natural habitat - like the eccentric bathing habits of the wild elephants that come down to the lake. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 Thekkady > Munnar (100 Kms / 03 Hrs) [B] Today after breakfast drive to Munnar - a breathtakingly beautiful hill resort situated in the cradle of tea plantations, stretching in all directions. Arrive and check in the hotel. Enjoy the sightseeing tour visiting Mattupetty - famous for its highly specialized Dairy Farm - the Indo-Swiss live stock project. Kuthumkal Waterfalls- an important tourist attraction at Munnar. The foggy waterfall provides a picturesque view of the water, cascading down from scintillating heights. The utter beauty of the place attracts thousands of visitors every year.
Observatory Hills - located at Nedumkandam. It is called observatory hill because it is an ideal location for observing heavenly bodies and a perfect location for people who are interested in watching the heavenly bodies, due to a highly clear sky.
Day 11 Munnar [B] Morning free for trekking with a naturalist in Eravikulam wildlife sanctuary with a wide range of birds too. Enjoy trekking and the sanctuary, home to the endangered Nilgiri Thar, a rare species of mountain goat. Evening free to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Nilgiri Hills. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 Munnar > Cochin (130 Kms / 04 Hrs) [B] After breakfast, transfer to Cochin. Arrive & check-in at hotel. Afternoon city tour covering Jewish Synagogue – Built in 1568 the oldest synagogue in the commonwealth stands, adorned by hundreds of exquisite hand - painted Chinese tiles in blue & white. St. Francis church Originally, built out of wood in 1503 and thus earning fame as the oldest USDpean church in India. Vasco de gama was buried there. Dutch Palace – As you climb its stone steps, you enter a different world of Palanquins and heraldry, jewels and rich murals. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 Cochin > Mumbai (By Flight) > Departure 9W 402 Cochin (13:00) / Mumbai (14:40) Morning after breakfast drive to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. On arrival you will be transferred to Airport to board your International flight back home.
