Thank you so very much for organizing this wonderful trip in Rajasthan,
it was really unique. We were delighted with the way the trip unfolded...

Naldehra is surrounded by beautiful deodar trees. At Naldehra, 23 km beyond Shimla is one of the oldest golf courses in India. The course, whose topography is absolutely natural, was originally designed by the British Viceroy, Lord Curzon who was so enchanted by the place that he gave his daughter Alexandra, 'Naldehra' as her second name after the spot. This is a par 68 nine hole golf course which is regarded as one of the most challenging in the country. In the repeat nine, the yardage somewhat increases. The links are maintained by Himachal Tourism and accommodation is also available. There are other hotels in the private sector near Naldehra.
Originally called Nal Deo, it is 20 Km (12.43 miles) from the Ridge, 23 Km (14.3 miles) from the bus stand. Crowned by a magnificent grove of deodar trees, Naldehra is carpeted with a springing turf. Curzon was so much taken in by the place that he personally supervised the laying out of the nine hole golf course-India's oldest. Here, he repeatedly came to relax from the affairs of state and took respite from the every growing dissension between him and the Commander-in-Chief, Lord Kitchener.
Well groomed, lovely and verdant, the course is, perhaps, one of the finest and most sporting in India. Well maintained the Naldehra Golf Club, tourists can also avail of it by paying the green fee. A spot of great natural beauty, it has much more to recommend it that the golf course which is, at times, decidedly tricky, thought a good golfer can complete it within one hour. An ancient Nag temple is also situated here.
