Weather: The temperature usually remains between 22 °C and 38 °C. The climate of Munnar remains very pleasant during the monsoons (June–August). Though the temperature is moderate here, but the relatively high altitude has the chances of sun-burn.
About Munnar
Munnar is one of the major centers for tea trade of Kerala, a state also called 'the Gods' own country'. Situated at an altitude of 1520 meters, in the eastern part of the state, it's a well know hill station. Surrounded by almost 30 tea gardens that give it a picturesque view, Munnar is near Anaimudi, the highest peak of the Kerala Western Ghats. The hills around Munnar are covered with the rare Neelakurunji plant giving it a wonderful look, especially when the flowers bloom to cover the entire mountain range.

How to reach
By Air & Rail: Munnar does not have an airport or railway station. The nearest airport and railway station is at Kochi, which is 130 km west of Munnar.
By Road: Munnar is accessible by road from most of the towns in Kerala. It can also be reached from Madurai (6 hours) and Coimbatore (6 hours), which are located in the state of Tamil Nadu.
